Overview

The Joliet Bulk Barge & Rail Unloading Facility tunnel and bridge project consisted of construction of a steel arch tunnel liner plate,  Vist-A-Wall MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) retaining walls, tunnel backfill, and a new steel truss concrete deck bridge.

  • Vista-Wall-Wall Retaining Walls and 23,000 tons of tunnel backfill.
  • Pile supported simple span steel truss roadway bridge and Vist-A-Wall abutments and headwalls.
